

Update
Westchester police arrested Jare Anderson (male) age 19 of 14631 Chicago Rd.
Dolton, IL. who was wanted on a warrant by this department for armed robbery.
Bond on the warrant set at $25,000.00 10%. Anderson is accused of the 10/10/11
armed robbery of a 45 year old resident of the 1400 block of Haase as she entered
her vehicle. Anderson refused to speak to police and was transported to the
Maybrook court house in Maywood, IL. for a bond hearing on 12/19/11.
Anderson’s bond remained at $25,000.00 10% with an initial court date of
12/23/11 at the same court location.

Department Structure - The
Westchester Police Department consists of 45
individuals.

Divisions - The police department
is broken down into three divisions. The
divisions are Patrol, Investigation, and
Administrative. They are as follows:
- The Patrol Division is responsible for maintaining high visibility
and often rapid response to calls for
service, as well as the
aggressive/preventive patrolling of the
Village streets. Marked squad cars and
additional police bike patrol units during
the summer months continue to keep a
watchful eye on us all.

The
Investigative Division handles
the follow-up investigations of all
criminal incidents within the village,
including juvenile matters and warrant
control service.

The Administrative Division handles
the police/fire radio
telecommunications, department training,
records department, public information,
crossing guards and police equipment.

Please Note: The Village of Westchester allows only (2) dogs per residence. Residents found in violation are subject to penalty.
