Certificate of Compliance Program
The Village of Westchester has prepared a packet for the Certificate of Compliance Program. You may download the packet which includes:

-Application for Certificate of Compliance Inspection
-Compliance Inspection Checklist
-Affadavit for Temporary Certificate of Compliance

Please note that prior to construction of any kind, you must secure a building permit from this Department.

Commercial Property Inspections were previously handled by the Westchester Fire Department. The Building Department is in the process of modifying the Commercial permits and applications. Please contact the Building Department, 708/345-0199, to obtain the correct forms.

Code Enforcement Department

The Code Enforcement Department is concerned with property maintenance issues as outlined in the Village Municipal Code book.  

Certain Municipal Code violations are administratively adjudicated by use of Village personnel and facilities.
