Paving Project Updates – 6/27/08

Bristol/Dover
The sewer contractor (Suburban General) has completed the sewer repairs on both Dover and Bristol. Their remaining work includes adjusting the frames and grates of structures located within the curb or pavement. They will be doing these adjustments as the work on the curb and paving operations continues.
The concrete contractor (JG Demo) has poured the majority of the curb along the south side of Dover. The remaining curb is typically located at the intersections or at drainage structures. They will continue to pour curb and flatwork along Dover next week. We anticipate that the concrete curb and flatwork will be completed on Dover by the end of next week. Removal of curb, driveway aprons and certain sections of sidewalk on Bristol is tentatively scheduled to begin next week. The contractor will start at the north end of Bristol and work towards the south.
Balmoral
The sewer contractor (DNB) continues to work on sewer repairs between Bond and Wight. The majority of the storm sewer repairs have been completed in this area. They are currently working on the repairs to the sanitary sewer and on the storm sewer connections to the storm sewer they have already installed

Animal tags are now available through the Westchester Police Department. There is no longer a fee for the tags.
Cab Coupon Program Discount:This program provides discount taxicab coupons for Senior and Handicapped residents. Coupon books are available for a cost of $10 and have a value of $20. Books must be purchased in person at the Village Hall.
There is a limit of one book per person per month.

Rubbish Rate Increase: The rubbish rate has changed from $57.90 to $47.34, a 3% increase due to notification from Waste Management, effective 7/1/06.
