No person shall abandon or leave unattended any grocery cart or shopping cart upon any public street, sidewalk or public way within the village of Westchester or upon the private property of any person adjoining or abutting any public way or sidewalk within the village of Westchester other than the premises where the cart was originally obtained. No person shall remove or license or permit the removal of grocery carts or shopping carts from the premises and parking lot of the establishment which furnished the carts. (Ord. 64-679 § 2, 1964)

A copy of the ordinance codified in this chapter shall be posted in a conspicuous place in every place of business or establishment which provides grocery carts or shopping carts for use by its customers or patrons. (Ord. 64-679 § 3, 1964)
