7.108.010 Definitions.
As used in this chapter:
"Cruising" or "to cruise" means to operate a motor vehicle,
or as a custodian thereof to permit its operation, past an area more than three
times in any direction within a three-hour period.
"Designated areas" shall be as follows: whenever the public
health, welfare and safety of the community in a specific area is disrupted by
the movement of vehicular traffic on such streets within the corporate limits of
the village. (Ord. 95-1428 Art. I § 1, 1995)
7.108.020 Cruising prohibited.
It is unlawful for any person to cruise within the village as
set forth in Section 7.108.010. (Ord. 95-1428 Art. I § 2, 1995)
7.108.030 Exemptions.
The provision of this section shall not be applicable to the
operator of any municipal, police, fire, emergency vehicle, utility or
governmental vehicle when same is being operated in an official capacity. The
provisions of this section shall not be applicable to the operator of any
licensed public transportation vehicle or any vehicle being utilized for
business or commercial purposes. (Ord. 95-1428 Art. I § 3, 1995)
7.108.040 Violation--Penalty.
Any person violating this chapter shall be guilty of a
traffic infraction, and shall be subject to a fine of up to five hundred
dollars. A separate offense shall be deemed to be committed for each successive
trip past the same area after a violation has occurred. (Ord. 95-1428 Art. I
